Dear Friend,

I am writing to share with you the inspiration behind the creation of Ben’s Bright Horizons in honor of my eldest son, Ben Stratford, who tragically took his own life on June 18, 2023 at the age of 21 years and one month.
Ben was a remarkable individual whose presence illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His passing has left an indelible void in our hearts, yet his legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering compassion continues to resonate deeply within us.

Throughout his life, Ben embodied the very essence of empathy and understanding. His ability to connect with others on a profound level, offering support and guidance in times of need, was truly remarkable. He possessed an innate gift of lifting spirits and nurturing hope, even amidst life's most challenging moments.

In celebrating the life of Ben, we are compelled to transform our collective grief into meaningful action. It was with this purpose that we initiated The Ben Stratford Mental Health Foundation, a fully vested 501c3 non-profit. The Foundation will be doing business as Ben’s Bright Horizons Organization. Our aim is to carry forward Ben’s legacy of compassion by creating a haven of support and resources for teens and young adults who are facing similar challenges.

Ben’s Bright Horizon’s endeavors to provide financial support to individuals grappling with mental health issues. Through this foundation, we aspire to foster an environment where mental health is destigmatized, and where individuals are empowered to seek help without hesitation or fear of judgment.
